About

Hassan Khademi holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from the University of Tehran, where his academic journey deepened his understanding of the human condition and the intricate dynamics of society. He later nurtured his cinematic voice through training at the Young Iranian Filmmakers Society — a space where critical thought met creative expression and where his passion for portraying the complexities of real lives found its visual language.

With a long-standing career as a social researcher and journalist, Khademi’s work is rooted in a profound engagement with societal issues. His writings and films consistently reflect a compassionate focus on the lives of women, adolescents, and the youth — voices often marginalized, yet essential to the narratives he brings to light.

For Khademi, filmmaking is not merely a form of art but a means to ignite broader social dialogue. He sees the documentary as a powerful medium — both mirror and messenger — through which silenced truths are revealed and vital conversations are born.
